- Method
- Clever Dripper
- Coffee to water ratio
- 37:620
This is the basic recipe that is recommended by Clever Dripper. It produces a large cup of coffee with a water to coffee ratio close to 3:50.
The Clever Dripper was released in 2008 by ABID Co. in Taiwan. They set out to create a hybrid coffee brewing method, which combined the advantages of immersion brewing (like French press) and clean infusion methods (like pour over).
The brewer is extremely easy to use and to clean with its clever valve mechanism, and with the use of paper filters, the resulting coffee retains much of the delicious body of a French press without sediment.
Notes
- Clever Dripper recommends using boiling water for this method, but if you find that the resulting coffee is too bitter/over-extracted, lower the temperature for your next brew.
