About Honest Coffee Guide
Welcome to Honest Coffee Guide. We made this site to help people make coffee at home.
Making coffee at home saves you money, is better for the environment, and tastes better.
The coffee world is intimidating, but we hope to make it more approachable with step‑by‑step guides, illustrations, and infographics.
Who we are…
Honest Coffee Guide is made by two people who are too embarrassed to write their own bios — so we’ve written each other’s.
Yoji
Yoji is an illustrator and graphic designer with a BA in Product and Industrial Design from Central Saint Martins. He has worked as a barista for 7 years in a variety of coffee shops. He draws beautiful maps, and illustrations of fantastical characters and other worlds.
He is a total nerd about coffee and generally the brains. His morning coffee alternates between a filter and a moka pot. Yoji can make very beautiful latte art.
You can follow him and see some of his designs on Instagram.
Nathaniel
Nathaniel is a web developer, and coder for Honest Coffee Guide. He creates websites that are environmentally conscious, user friendly, accessible, and fun! Many of his websites contain unique tools and guides to help people understand the internet (to quite a nerdy level), and make life easier and enjoyable in unexpected little ways. He is an avid coffee drinker, talented cook, and polymath.
Despite owning an Rancilio espresso machine, making himself a flat white every morning, and having worked in many cafés in the past, Nathaniel can’t even create a latte art heart. Nathaniel is the proud father of a dog named Pan.
He has a popular web development blog, and very unpopular life hack blog and you follow can him on Mastodon.
